August Carstens has extensive experience in data analysis and client insights, currently serving as Product Head: Client Insights at Capitec Bank since April 2013, after previously holding roles as Data Science Manager and Business Intelligence Analyst. Prior experience includes database management at Anna Basson Properties, and work as an Adventure Guide at Bundi Adventures. August also contributed to academia as a lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch. August holds a Master's degree in Mathematical Statistics, a BCom (Hons) in Mathematical Statistics, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Science, all from Stellenbosch University, as well as a foundational education from Paul Roos Gimnasium.
