Elize Neethling

Elize Neethling is a seasoned professional in information security with over 18 years of experience, currently serving as Manager of Data Security and DIO at Capitec Bank since May 2020. In this role, Elize leads initiatives within the Data and Analytics division, focusing on the integration of Cyber Security, Infrastructure Security, and Data Security strategies. Responsibilities include managing Data Leakage Prevention aligned with POPIA, implementing Data Obfuscation, and establishing a data risk framework. Prior to Capitec Bank, Elize spent time on sabbatical before holding the position of CISO and Head of Central Information Management Systems at Tradebridge, where the oversight of group-wide information security services was a key function. Elize is also recognized for bringing PociT to PCI DSS compliance and certification, enhancing the security of mobile payment systems.
