Gideon van der Ness

Gideon van der Ness is an experienced software development manager with a strong background in agile methodologies and team leadership. Currently serving as a Software Development Manager at Capitec since February 2023, Gideon previously held positions as Development Manager at Mama Money and Software Development Manager at Yoco. Prior to those roles, Gideon worked as an Agile Coach at Zailab and spent nearly a decade at Williams Lea Tag as an Agile Development Manager, where responsibilities included people management, HR, release management, and financial duties. With a solid foundation in software development, Gideon's early career included roles as a Senior Java Developer, Senior ColdFusion Developer, and various web developer positions. An alumnus of the University of the Witwatersrand, Gideon holds a B.Sc in Computational and Applied Mathematics.
