Thinus Slabber

Thinus Slabber has extensive experience in credit risk management and financial analysis, currently serving as the Head of Unsecured Credit for the Business Bank division at Capitec Bank since July 2012. Responsibilities include leading the introduction of fully automated and scored credit processes, overseeing the credit card product lifecycle, and managing a team of quantitative analysts to develop analytical solutions for credit management. Prior roles include Credit Risk Manager and Statistical Analyst at Capitec Bank, as well as a Risk Analyst at RCS Group and Senior Analyst at PIC Solutions, focusing on credit strategies and predictive modeling. Thinus holds an Executive Development Program certificate from Duke University, an MBA from the University of Cape Town, and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Risk Management from Stellenbosch University.
