Wayne James

Wayne James is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in architecture and consulting. Currently serving as a Cybersecurity Architect at Capitec since November 2022, Wayne focuses on cyber security strategy, identity security, data security projects, and service re-architecture. Prior to this role, Wayne spent over seven years at Altron Security as a Solution Architect and Principal Consultant, leading customer cyber security architecture and advisory services. Wayne also owned ICE Consulting, providing consulting in cyber security and project management from 2005 to 2014. Earlier career positions include roles at Novell, Ubusha Technologies, Siemens Business Services, Computer Networks, and Bidvest Waltons. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town.
