Yazeed Soeker has a strong background in the banking industry, with significant experience in various roles at different banks. Yazeed began their career at Nedbank in 1995, where they worked as an Accounts Manager with a focus on sales and service. During their time at Nedbank, they managed a portfolio of 75 clients across various industries with a turnover ranging from R10m to R45m. Yazeed then joined Standard Bank Group in 2006, where they initially worked as a Senior Accounts Executive. Yazeed later transitioned to the role of Unit Head, Business Banking, taking on more responsibilities and managing the business banking division. Yazeed worked at Standard Bank Group until 2022. Currently, they serve as the Head of the Commercial Division Western Cape at Capitec Bank.
Yazeed Soeker completed a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of the Western Cape from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they also pursued a postgraduate degree in the same field at the same university during the same time period. In addition, Yazeed obtained a CAIB(SA) degree in Banking and Finance from Milpark from 2002 to 2005. Yazeed completed their secondary education at Rylands High from 1989 to 1993 and attained a matric with exemption. There is no specified field of study for their secondary education.
