Gil Mandelzis is the CEO and founder of Capitolis, a leading financial technology company. Gil has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on electronic trading, risk management, and clearing and settlement.
Gil began their career as an Associate in the M&A Group at BT Wolfensohn / Deutsche Bank. Gil then joined Traiana, Inc., where they served as Chief Executive Officer from January 2000 to December 2012. During their tenure at Traiana, Gil successfully transitioned the company from a startup to a global infrastructure leader with $2 trillion in transaction volume per day. Gil grew the company from $15 million to $60 million in revenue and 300 employees, operating in 25 countries.
In 2007, Gil led Traiana through its acquisition by ICAP. After the acquisition, they developed and executed a strategy to transition the business from a startup to a global infrastructure leader. This included launching multiple successful new products that have become leading infrastructure globally, and recruiting a new CEO. Under Gil’s leadership, Traiana launched a successful JV with CLS, the world’s main FX settlement utility. Gil also brought in strategic investment from eight of the world’s largest investment banks at a valuation of $300 million.
In 2013, Gil founded Capitolis, a leading financial technology company that provides capital efficiency solutions for the financial services industry. Capitolis has raised $48 million in funding to date and is backed by leading investors such as Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo.
Mandelzis has an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in Business and Sociology from Tel Aviv University.
