Hai Shang, CFA, currently serves as the Director of Algorithm Development at Capitolis since June 2025. Prior experience includes a tenure at BlackRock from July 2014 to May 2025, where Hai ascended from Associate to Vice President and finally to Director within the Financial Modeling Group, focusing on portfolio modeling. Earlier roles include Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting, where Hai conducted econometric analyses and enhanced analytical tools, as well as experience at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Global Markets Summer Analyst. Hai holds a Master of Science in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Finance from Fudan University. An exchange program at the University of California, Santa Cruz, provided additional exposure to business management economics.
