Josh Ellis

Josh Ellis has over six years of work experience in software engineering, web development, and marketing. In 2022, they began working as a Software Engineer for Caplight. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer II for TrueCar, Inc. from 2021, where they built a mobile app for dealerships and demonstrated high level problem solving skills. In 2021, they also worked as a Software Engineer II for Endeavor Business Media, modernizing an internal CMS from legacy code to support Endeavor's 70+ brands. From 2016 to 2021, they were the owner of Lioncastle Creative, helping local businesses improve their brand and marketing processes. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Optimize Worldwide, Inc., where they led a team of 4 in a rebranding initiative, formulated Google and Facebook Ads, mentored a team of 5 graphic and web designers, and designed graphics for digital and print marketing.

Josh Ellis has received education from three institutions. Josh attended the Flatiron School and freeCodeCamp for Computer Software Engineering and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
