Rui Abrantes

Rui Abrantes has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Rui began their career as a Freelancer, working as an Illustrator, comic book artist, and graphic designer, mainly in the educational business. During this time, they published their work in various educational publishers, newspapers, and magazines in Portugal and Spain. Rui also showcased their drawings in Comics exhibitions such as the Amadora comics festival and International cartoon show and Comics of Oeiras.

After their freelancing period, Rui worked at DDI - design studio as a Graphic designer and Illustrator for ten years. Following that, they joined BuzzID - Interactive Design Studio as an Interface designer | Strategic Software Development. Rui played a crucial role at the company from November 2006 to April 2013.

In 2013, Rui joined Profero as a UI and Front-end developer for a few months before moving on to UrsaClemenger as a Digital Designer and Front-end developer from October 2013 to June 2014.

Rui then became the Chief Creative Officer and UI Designer at CAPSICUM Business Architects from June 2014 to March 2017.

Currently, Rui works at Capsifi as the Frontend lead Architect/Engineer. Rui started their role in March 2017 and later took on the position of Frontend lead developer and Design System Engineer from December 2020 to June 2022. Rui is still actively involved with the company.
