Maxence Bourquin began their work experience in 2011 as an Ingénieur d'étude et développement at Sopra Group, where they worked on various projects in different domains including automotive, web, and retail. Maxence contributed to the development of a vehicle homologation management tool, participated in the implementation of an e-commerce website, and played a role in the renovation of a retail payment system and the introduction of a self-scanning service.

In 2014, Maxence joined Captain Wallet (acquired by Sendinblue) as an Ingénieur d'étude Web et Mobile. Maxence focused on Android mobile application development and conducted research and development in indoor localization using iBeacon technology. Additionally, they created an Android SDK for iBeacon tag detection.

Maxence was later promoted to the role of Chief Software Officer at Captain Wallet in January 2018. In this position, they coordinated the design and development of the Captain Wallet solution, supervised the technical architecture, and managed and led the technical team.
