Alex Hardman

Alex Hardman has a diverse work experience in the software development field. Alex is currently working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at CaptionHub, where they focus on server-side Ruby on Rails, front-end Vue JS, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Prior to this, they worked as a Technical Team Lead in the BBC Children's Web Team, leading the front-end development of the comments system. Alex also worked as a Technical Team Lead at Sorted Group, where they led a greenfield project to create a highly scalable parcel tracking platform. Alex worked as a Contractor at Betfred, developing websites and APIs, and as a CTO for Kindly.com, where they designed and delivered a suite of applications for a social networking platform. Alex also worked as a Contractor at JUST EAT, designing and delivering cloud-based applications. Before that, they worked as a Senior Developer at Mando Group and Building Blocks (UK) Ltd, where they developed web and database solutions for various clients. Alex has experience with a wide range of technologies, including Ruby, ReactJS, NodeJS, C#, and various AWS services.

Alex Hardman completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology from the University of Leeds from 1993 to 1996. Later, in 2004 to 2005, Alex pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from Edge Hill University.
