Shane Telfer

Shane Telfer is an accomplished professional with significant expertise in chemistry and leadership roles. Currently serving as the CEO of Captivate Technology since January 2023, Shane also contributes as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Sport Manawatū and as a volunteer with the Arapuke Trails Team, both from February 2025 and January 2015 respectively. Shane's academic career includes a position as a Professor of Chemistry at Massey University and a role as a Principal Investigator at The MacDiarmid Institute, both since February 2006 and January 2007, respectively. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Canterbury, where education was undertaken from March 1992 to May 1999, following completion of studies at Burnside High School from 1987 to 1991.
