Dasha Smith

Dasha Smith is the executive vice president, chief administrative officer for the National Football League (NFL). Dasha brings to the CAPTRUST Board of Directors significant professional expertise, with a deep understanding of human resources, diversity and inclusion, information technology, social responsibility, M&A best practices, and administration.

Prior to taking on her current role as a member of the executive operating committee for the NFL, Dasha served as executive vice president, global chief human resources officer for Sony Music Entertainment. Prior to joining Sony Music, she served as the managing director and global chief human resources officer for GCM Grosvenor, a leading global alternative investment firm with more than $57 billion in assets under management (AUM).

Dasha also spent 10 years at Time, Inc. (formerly a division of Warner Media), where she led global employee relations and employment law departments and diversity initiatives. She also previously served as a senior attorney in the Time, Inc. business and legal affairs department, focusing on M&A.

In addition to serving on CAPTRUST’s Board of Directors, Dasha serves on the Board of Directors for Cohen & Steers, Inc., a global investment manager specializing in liquid real assets, and she serves on the University of Virginia Law School Foundation Board of Trustees and the Georgetown University Board of Regents. She is also a Trustee of the Dalton School in New York City and a Board member of the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, Tennessee.
