Derek Barnett

Derek Barnett has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Derek began their career in 2014 as a Student at Fairmont State University, where they stayed until 2017. In 2016, Derek worked as a Sales Associate at Shoe Dept. Encore until 2017.

In 2017, Derek joined WVU Medicine as an IT Intern, where they provided general computer support and developed a new hire application system. Derek also gained experience working with the Network Operations Center team. Derek's role as an Associate Helpdesk Technician lasted from December 2017 to May 2018.

Since 2018, Derek has been working at CAPTRUST. Their current role is Server Engineer, which they started in October 2020. Prior to that, they held a role in Information Technology, starting in June 2018.
