James Al Cannon, CFP®, CRPS®, AIF® joined CAPTRUST in 2021 as a Principal and Financial Advisor, specializing in wealth management consultancy for individuals, families, and organizations. Prior to CAPTRUST, James was a Partner at Nachman Norwood & Parrott and held a senior role at Morgan Stanley, where they advanced to become a senior investment management consultant. James began their career at Tietex International as an Accountant and Product Manager. They earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Clemson University. Outside of work, James enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and playing the drums for a local band, The Vinyl Junkies.
