Nicholas Brezinski

Nicholas Brezinski has a diverse work experience in the field of information security, network administration, and IT management. Nicholas currently works as the Director of Information Security & Network at CAPTRUST since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Manager of Information Security and Networking from 2021 to 2023 and as the Manager of Information Security from 2019 to 2021. Nicholas also worked as an Information Security Officer at CAPTRUST from 2017 to 2019 and as a Network Administrator from 2014 to 2017.

Before joining CAPTRUST, Nicholas worked at The Body Shop as the Manager of Information Technology Support Services from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they served as a Network Administrator at North State Bank from 2012 to 2013. Nicholas started their career at Xerox, where they worked as an IT Manager from 2003 to 2012. Nicholas also gained experience as a Network/PC Tech at Variety Wholesalers from 2001 to 2003.

Nicholas Brezinski began their education in 2019 at Western Governors University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security and Information Assurance. Nicholas completed their undergraduate studies in 2022. Following their bachelor's degree, Nicholas attended North Carolina State University to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA), starting in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Nicholas has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they acquired the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification through ISACA and the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)². The following year, in 2020, they obtained the CompTIA Network+ certification. In early 2021, Nicholas obtained the CompTIA Project+ certification.

Nicholas has expressed an intention to pursue further certifications, including the Certification in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², the Certified Internet Webmaster Web Security Associate certification from Certification Partners (CIW), and the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification from CompTIA. However, it is unclear if they have already obtained these certifications or is planning to pursue them in the future.
