Simon Anzaldua

Simon Anzaldua has a diverse work experience in the energy industry, primarily in the field of geology. Simon currently works as an Associate Relationship Manager at CAPTRUST since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Custom Research Analyst at ISS | Institutional Shareholder Services from January 2022 to November 2022.

In their earlier roles, Simon worked at various companies including SandRidge Energy and Echo Energy as a Geologist. At SandRidge Energy, they operated a drilling program, led critical decision-making during the drilling process, and worked on a 5-year drilling plan. At Echo Energy, they served as a team lead for a drilling program and contributed to optimizing well placement and improving well performance.

Simon also gained research experience at the University of Oklahoma, where they worked as a Research Assistant, Teacher's Assistant, and Paleomagnetic Lab Technician. During their time at Chesapeake Energy as a Geology Intern, Simon worked on projects involving the analysis of shale units and creation of maps and cross-sections.

Throughout their work experience, Simon Anzaldua has demonstrated strong analytical skills, data mining capabilities, and the ability to increase cash flows through effective well planning and optimization strategies.

Simon Anzaldua pursued their education chronologically, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma, which they completed between 2008 and 2010. Simon then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Geology from the same institution, completing it from 2010 to 2013. Later, Simon Anzaldua furthered their education by pursuing another Master's degree, this time in Finance, from the University of Oklahoma between 2020 and 2021.
