Mark Trimmer

Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions at Carbon Capture

Mark Trimmer has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 1983. Mark started as a Summer Research Fellow at ExxonMobil in 1983 and then worked as a Manager, R&D at Maxdem, Inc. from 1988 to 1999. During this time, they led R&D efforts relating to development, scale-up, and commercialization of high-performance Parmax(TM) polymers, managed Government and corporate contracts/collaborations related to military and commercial product development activities, and created a body of patent IP to protect and enhance the value of the technology. From 1997 to 1999, they worked as a Consultant at Cyrano Sciences, Inc. and then as Executive Vice President and CTO at Materia, Inc. from 1999 to 2003. Mark also worked as an Outside Director at Maxdem, Inc. from 2003 to 2018. Mark currently works as a Principal and Consultant at Ridgeside Consulting LLC since 2018 and as Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions at CarbonCapture Inc. since 2022.

Mark Trimmer obtained their B.S. in Chemistry from Penn State University in 1983. Mark then went on to pursue their Ph.D. in Chemistry from Caltech, which they completed in 1988. In December 2018, they obtained a Registered Patent Agent certification from the USPTO.
