Daniel Young is a research scientist and engineer in training at Carbon Engineering, where they develop and scale carbon capture processes. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary in April 2020. From 2021 to 2024, Daniel worked as a Research Scientist II at CERT Systems Inc, conducting experimental studies and coordinating research collaborations to advance carbon dioxide utilization technologies after operating a pilot plant for the Carbon Conversion XPRIZE in 2020. Prior to their higher education, Daniel gained experience as a property maintenance worker with Calgary Property Services from 2014 to 2020.
