Marc Nering is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project planning and operations management within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Project/Maintenance Planner at Carbon Engineering since August 2019, Marc Nering is responsible for project planning, maintenance outages, and acting as the primary contact for all maintenance-related inquiries. Previously, Marc Nering led the operational and laboratory teams as Manager of Production at Carbon Engineering, overseeing the commissioning and achievement of production goals at a state-of-the-art carbon capture plant. With a background as Plant Manager for four hydro-electric power plants at Atlantic Power Corporation from 2004 to 2017 and various roles including Maintenance Planner at TransCanada Pipelines from 1990 to 2004, Marc Nering has a robust foundation in maintenance planning, operations, and team leadership. Marc Nering's education includes studies at The University of British Columbia, Mount Royal University, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and Medicine Hat College.
