VP Science at CarbonCloud

Erik Edlund's work experience includes various roles in the field of science, data, and modeling. Erik currently serves as the VP Science at CarbonCloud, a position they have held since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist in Data and Modeling from June 2020 to October 2021 at the same company.

Before joining CarbonCloud, Erik worked as a Senior Scientist in Data Science and Modeling at AstraZeneca, under the employment of ALTEN. This role lasted from February 2020 to June 2020.

Erik also has experience as a Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, where they worked from April 2019 to January 2020. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from August 2016 to March 2019.

Erik's earlier experience at Chalmers University of Technology includes working as a Researcher from July 2014 to December 2015 and as a PhD Student from January 2010 to June 2014. During their time as a PhD Student, they also served as the main lecturer for the course "Simulation of Complex Systems" from 2011 to 2013 and supervised a Bachelor of Science thesis on the topic of "Cellular Automata and Pattern Formation."

Erik Edlund has a strong educational background with degrees from Chalmers University of Technology. Erik pursued their Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from 2006 to 2009. Following this, they completed their Master of Science in Complex Adaptive Systems from 2007 to 2009 at the same institution. Erik's educational journey continued as they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Complex Systems from Chalmers University of Technology, completing their degree between 2010 and 2014. Erik'seducation demonstrates a specialization in the field of engineering physics and complex systems, which indicates a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of these fields.
