Shane Loeffler

Shane Loeffler is a Frontend Software Engineer at CarbonPlan since December 2023, following a role as a Frontend Developer at Anderson Optimization from April 2023 to December 2023. Prior experience includes Web Application Developer and Cartographer at Polar Geospatial Center (April 2019 - April 2023), along with freelance work in Interactive Data Visualization Development for ProPublica (April 2022 - October 2022). Shane also contributed as a Software Developer for the Flyover Country mobile app (September 2014 - September 2021) and worked as a Researcher at LACCORE CSDCO (June 2015 - August 2018). Earlier experience includes presenting scientific content at the Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium (December 2010 - May 2015) and an internship at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (January 2014 - April 2014). Shane holds a Master of Science in Earth Sciences focused on data visualization and mobile/web development from the University of Minnesota (2016 - 2018) and a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Astronomy from the University of Minnesota Duluth (2010 - 2015).
