Jonathan George

Jonathan George has a strong background in technology and entrepreneurship. Jonathan is currently the Founder and CEO of Carbon, a talent network for independent tech professionals. Carbon connects the world's best freelancers with remote clients globally, supporting startups and enterprises in minimizing product execution risk and maximizing cost efficiency. Prior to Carbon, Jonathan founded Pathway, a software engineering staffing and recruitment firm in Eastern Europe. Jonathan also served as an advisor for Blocksfabrik, a design systems provider built on low code/no code technology, and Jove Insurance. Additionally, Jonathan has invested as an angel investor in companies such as Skeduler AI, Alongside, CloseFactor, and Workstream. Jonathan previously had experience as a Commando Officer in training for the Royal Marines and as a Technology Consultant for Fieri, where they focused on building out the fintech desk.

Jonathan George began their education at Winchester College in 2008, where they studied Economics, Mathematics, History, and Geography until 2010. Jonathan then attended the University of London from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law. In 2014, Jonathan enrolled at Cranfield School of Management, completing their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance in 2015. Jonathan furthered their education by joining the CFA Institute in 2015, where they obtained a CFA I certification. In 2016, Jonathan pursued studies at the CAIA Institute, specializing in Alternative Investments.
