Johnson Hsieh

Johnson Hsieh is a Taiwanese software engineer and entrepreneur. Johnson is the co-founder of Cardiogram, a health tracking app. Prior to Cardiogram, they worked as a software engineer at Google and Morgan Stanley.

Johnson Hsieh graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in computer science. Johnson then went on to receive their masters from Carnegie Mellon University. After graduation, they worked as an engineer at Microsoft Research, where they developed a new concurrency programming model called Automatic Mutual Exclusion (AME). Johnson then moved to Google, where they worked on tools for the distributed programming framework Dryad. Johnson left Google in 2016 to start Cardiogram with Brandon Ballinger and Johnson Hsieh.

Cardiogram is a health tracking app that uses heart rate data to detect and track health conditions like sleep apnea, diabetes, and hypertension. The app has been used by over 1 million people and has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes.

Johnson Hsieh's educational career began with a Bachelor of Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Johnson then went on to pursue a Graduate degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
