Destry Teeter

Destry Teeter has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They have held positions at Care Daily, Open Commons, and Woodward.

At Care Daily, Destry has worked since 2012. They initially served as a Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Director of Engineering in April 2022.

Before joining Care Daily, Destry worked at Open Commons starting in 2010. They held the position of Graphic Designer, where they were inspired by Linus Torvald's move to Portland and explored IBM's Open Innovation Jams and Global Innovation Outlook. They also collaborated with local architects, urban planners, and economists during J&M cafe-sessions and government open-source conferences.

In 2006, Destry had a role at Woodward where they served as an action sports OSI (Outdoor Specialist Instructor) and junior counselor. Their responsibilities included providing skateboarding lessons at various skill levels and ensuring safety at training facilities. They also worked as a junior counselor for thirteen and fourteen-year-old campers.

Overall, Destry Teeter has gained considerable experience in software engineering, graphic design, and action sports instruction throughout their career.

Destry Teeter attended the University of Idaho from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree. During their time at the university, Destry studied printmaking, sculpture, interactive design, and furniture design. In August 2019, they obtained a certification as a Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org.
