John Teeter has a diverse work experience spanning several years and industries. John has held roles such as Chief Scientist and Chief Innovation Officer in companies like People Power Company, URBAN.SYSTEMS, and Maalka. John has also worked as a Computer Scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology and as a Presidential Innovation Fellow at The White House. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Technical Strapper at Endurance.Net and owned First Step Research. Their earliest known work experience was at Gold Hill. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Scientist at People Power Company, where they focus on Humanizing the Internet of Things.

John Teeter attended Emmett High School from 1966 to 1968, where they obtained a high school degree. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Idaho from 1968 to 1980. No specific degrees or fields of study were provided for their time at the university.
