Clinical Advancements & Research Exploration (CARE) Initiatives is a non-profit organization aiming to bridge future health professionals, physicians, and researchers in improving dermatological patient care. We aspire to holistically support skin health by targeting research, clinical, and community needs with seamless integration of the multi-faceted healthcare system.

CARE was founded by Joy Xu, medical student at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, who was inspired by her life experiences in seeing dermatologic disparities and educational accessibility gaps in the community. Working with hundreds of students across the world, CARE rapidly expanded into a versatile platform of growth with over 300 active contributors and thousands of hours invested into improving patient care and advancing research.

Championing diversity in unique contributors across the world, CARE sets a long-term framework of collaboration and mutualistic learning in the community. Future health professionals are empowered with extensive learning opportunities for clinical and research skills while physicians, researchers, and other professionals attain greater hands-on support in their academic pursuits for innovative solution.
