Thomas Patras has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Thomas started their career in 1995 as a Branch Manager at Manpower International and later took on the role of District Sales Manager. In 2000, they joined Roth Staffing Companies as an Account Executive, playing a key role in the company's East Coast expansion.

From 2002 to 2007, Thomas served as the Director of Development at Helping Up Mission, where they were responsible for promoting and raising support for a non-profit residential addiction recovery program through donor cultivation and PR efforts.

Subsequently, Thomas held the position of Director of Corporate Relations at National Fatherhood Initiative from 2007 to 2011. In this role, they contributed to building relationships with corporate partners.

In 2014, they worked as a Staffing Supervisor at Kelly Services, where they led the full life cycle recruiting process.

From 2010 onwards, Thomas diversified their experience by becoming a Certified Optimal Health Coach at Healthy By Choice 24/7, helping clients achieve their health goals and teaching them the Habits of Health System.

Their most recent position, which they started in 2016, is Vice President of Donor Relations at Care Net. In this role, Thomas leads the Major Donor & Foundations Team to achieve fundraising goals and ensure the organization has the resources needed to fulfill its mission.

Thomas Patras attended Rolling Meadows High School from 1985 to 1989 and obtained a diploma with a focus on General studies. Thomas then went on to pursue higher education at Millikin University from 1989 to 1993. At Millikin University, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, General. Additionally, they also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Psychology during their time at Millikin University. In September 2019, Thomas obtained the certification of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) from CFRE International.
