Biftu Kuma

Biftu Kuma is a seasoned ICT Manager with over two decades of experience in information technology management, currently serving at CARE since June 2001. Responsibilities include overseeing organizational, financial, and human resources within the ICT unit, directing IT systems projects, and developing technical specifications for procurement and contractual services. Expertise encompasses administration and configuration of Hyper-V and VMware virtualization platforms, Cisco security appliances, MS Exchange server management, and MS SQL database administration. Prior to CARE, Biftu worked as a Systems Engineer at Telrad Networks, where tasks included the design and implementation of networking solutions for telecom systems. Biftu holds an MBA in Information Systems from Sikkim Manipal University and a BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Addis Ababa University.
