Ellen Bevier is a seasoned advocate in humanitarian policy with extensive experience in the Middle East and conflict zones. Currently serving as a Senior Humanitarian Policy Advocate at CARE since January 2023, Ellen previously held various roles at the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) from May 2018 to 2023, advancing from Advocacy Officer to Advocacy Manager. Ellen's expertise also includes contributions as a Research Consultant for The Stabilisation Network and The Carter Center's Syria Conflict Mapping Project, where Ellen assisted in documenting conflict events and humanitarian conditions in Syria. Additionally, Ellen worked as a Program Officer at Questscope, where the focus was on non-formal education for youth in Jordan. Ellen began the career as a Research and Translation Assistant at Humanitarian Research Services. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts in International and Global Studies with a focus on Middle East Studies from Middlebury College, complemented by study abroad in Arabic in Jordan.
