Hussein Araban

Hussein Araban possesses extensive experience in program management and humanitarian support, currently serving as Deputy Country Director-Program at CARE since February 2019, with a history of progressive roles including Assistant Country Director for Cross Border and Humanitarian Programs, and Director of Program Implementation. Prior to CARE, Hussein worked with World Vision from January 2015 to February 2019 as Technical Team Lead, WASH & Shelter Manager, and WASH Coordinator, and held various positions at World Vision International focusing on operations and WASH initiatives from April 2013 to October 2014. Earlier experience includes roles at the Syrian Petroleum Company from June 2006 to January 2013, where responsibilities included Drilling Supervisor and Well Site Drilling Engineer. Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Anadolu University (October 2019 - June 2023) and studies in Drilling and Production at AL Baath University (2006 - 2007).
