Ruth Dede

Ruth Dede is a Program Management professional specializing in gender, gender-based violence (GBV), protection, and safeguarding within humanitarian and development contexts. They have overseen interdisciplinary projects for various INGOs and foreign missions, focusing on policy development and the implementation of programs related to sexual and gender-based violence, women’s protection and empowerment, and child protection. Ruth has held key roles including Team Leader and Protection Manager at the Danish Refugee Council, where they provided technical leadership and managed diverse teams. They earned a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Daystar University and are currently pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs at Liverpool John Moores University.
