Samah Alia has extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) within the humanitarian sector. Beginning as a volunteer with the Danish Refugee Council in early 2016, Samah progressed to an M&E assistant role at Mercy Corps from March 2016 to February 2017. Following this, Samah worked with several organizations, including CARE, where positions included Officer, WASH & Shelter MEL Coordinator, and MEL Manager. Additional experience as a MEAL officer at Expertise France and as a MEAL consultant with IACO was also gained. Samah holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Damascus University, completed between 2008 and 2011.
