Niraj Patel

Niraj Patel, MD, MHA, serves as the Senior Medical Director at CareCentrix since May 2023, following a dynamic career in medical leadership roles across various organizations. Previously, Patel held positions as SVP of Medical Affairs at onehome and Senior Medical Director at myNEXUS®. Significant experience includes serving as Chief Medical Director at UnitedHealth Group, where oversight was provided for the population health of 1.2 million members with UMR, the largest third-party administrator in the country. Patel also directed medical operations for Optum, managing over 900,000 members, and has extensive experience in emergency and geriatric medicine at ADVANCE CARE PARTNERS. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Ross University, a Master of Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Science in Business/Managerial Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University, with ongoing participation in an Executive Certificate program at Emory University.
