Basit Parkar

Basit Parkar is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in mobile application development and management, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager in Mobile Foundations at Careem since August 2017. In this role, Basit leads initiatives focused on mobile architecture and server-driven UI, while also overseeing teams that innovate food ordering processes in the MENAP region. Prior experience includes leading mobile development teams at CheckInn as Head of Mobility, and previous positions in software engineering at Invasystems Inc, CarIQ, and Mobien Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Basit holds an Engineer’s Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Savitribai Phule Pune University, complemented by a solid educational background in science and technology from Maharashtra Institute of Technology and Bharati Vidyapeeth.
