Careers in Colour emerged as a response to the need to increase the representation of people of colour and cultural diversity in Australia’s senior leadership.

Our purpose is to support people of colour by running community initiatives that provide pathways to effect positive change in their careers, workplaces, and beyond - focusing on industries and sectors of strategic importance in Australia. These pillars drive our approach:

• Nudging the conversation forward: We leverage our annual events program focused on sectors and industries of strategic importance to inform, educate and push on issues that matter
• Create regular gathering spaces: We facilitate spaces for community, conversations and collaboration across Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra
• Convene: We convene players in the workplace racial and cultural inclusion ecosystem to drive impact and advocacy

We want to build a future where Australian workplaces reflect the diversity of the broader Australian community, provide equitable opportunities, and maximise the potential of our multicultural workforce.

We acknowledge that we live and work on the unceded lands of the Gadigal, Dharug, Wurundjeri, and Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We acknowledge Traditional Owners across the continent and their continuing connection to the land, sea and community.
