Christopher Phillips has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Christopher is currently working as the VP of Finance | Corporate FP&A & Government Markets at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where they lead the financial planning and analysis organization. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Finance: Clinical Transformation & Home and Community Care at Highmark Health. Christopher also held the position of Vice President Finance - Health Plan FP&A at Highmark Inc., where they were responsible for financial planning and analysis of the Health Plan. Christopher has also worked at Mylan as the Vice President of Finance, managing pricing and contracting for North America. In addition, they have held various roles at IBM, including Global Division Controller, Global Segment CFO & COO, and FP&A roles. Their experience at IBM involved financial planning, analysis, and strategic modeling for different sectors and industry selling units. Christopher began their career at IBM with roles in internal audit, general accounting, and financial and business transformation analysis.
Christopher Phillips earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Mount Saint Mary College, which they attended from 2000 to 2004. In 2012, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance at Marist College School of Management, which they completed in 2014. In 2016, Christopher furthered their education at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where they completed an executive education program focusing on Servant Leadership. Additionally, in August 2019, they obtained a certification in Managing High Potentials from LinkedIn.
