Eric Zerrlaut

Eric Zerrlaut possesses extensive experience in behavioral health and utilization management, currently serving as Supervisor of Utilization Management at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield since April 2018. In this role, Eric oversees the behavioral health utilization management team and acts as a primary resource for behavioral health issues across various internal departments. Prior to this position, Eric held multiple roles at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, including Psychiatric Evaluator in the Emergency Room and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic, where responsibilities included conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing comprehensive therapy. Eric’s career also includes experience as a Behavioral Health Care Manager at HMC HealthWorks, focused on mental health and substance abuse management, and earlier work as a Rehabilitation Therapist for children. Eric holds a Master of Science in Clinical Community Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Brain Sciences from Johns Hopkins University.
