Marc E. Dalton

Marc E. Dalton, MD, MPH, currently serves as the Medical Director for Behavioral Health at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield since May 2024. As the founder of Dalton Public Health Consultants, LLC since March 2020, Marc E. Dalton brings extensive experience in behavioral health leadership, including roles as interim Chief Medical Officer at Health Services For Children With Special Needs and Chief Medical Officer at the DC Department of Behavioral Health. Previous positions include Medical Director at INOVA Psychiatric Assessment Center, Medical Director of the Court Urgent Care Clinic at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, and Director of Consultation Psychiatry and Emergency Psychiatric Services at Children's National Medical Center. Education includes an MPH from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, an MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and a BS in biology from Wake Forest University.
