Richard Schelfe

Richard Schelfe currently serves as the Manager of Embedded Compliance at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where responsibilities include the development and management of the embedded compliance program to align with regulatory statutes. Prior to CareFirst, Richard held the position of Assistant Vice President of Corporate Investigations at BB&T, overseeing corporate security compliance within the Maryland region. Richard's extensive career at Global Payments spanned over a decade, where roles included Director of Risk Management & Check Services and Manager of Quality Assurance, among others, contributing to operations, risk management, and compliance initiatives. Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Humanities from the University of Maryland.
