Rick Ruia

Rick Ruia currently serves as the Director at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, a position held since 2017. Prior to this, Rick was the Executive Director at The College Board from April 2008 to 2016, where responsibilities included managing the development of software solutions and creating a multi-year business intelligence strategy. Rick also held the role of Data Warehouse Director at Freddie Mac from December 2001 to April 2008, overseeing software development teams and managing customer relations for financial applications. Earlier in his career, Rick worked as a Consulting Test Lead at Cable and Wireless and as a Business Analyst Team Lead at IBM, where management of significant projects and teams was essential. Rick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Maryland between 1987 and 1990.
