John Newton

John Newton is an accomplished investor and technology leader with extensive experience in the software industry. Currently, John serves as an investor at lunar.dev, unstructured.io, Careignition, and Rasa, where Rasa is recognized for providing a standard infrastructure layer for AI assistant development. Previously, John held significant roles including Board Member at Weaveworks, Chief Strategy Officer and Board Member at Agile Growth Corporation, where a public offering was successfully executed, and Founder and CTO at Alfresco, an open source software company. John's early career included co-founding Activiti and serving as Entrepreneur In Residence at Benchmark Capital. John holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and has pursued further education at the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics.
