Raphael Monteiro

Raphael Monteiro has an extensive work history in the software engineering field. Raphael is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at CareMessage since November 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Chatchamp from July 2021 to October 2022. At Chatchamp, Raphael was responsible for providing guided selling solutions for e-commerce companies, such as Loreal, Telefonica, and Gigaset.

Before Chatchamp, Raphael co-founded Rapidoo in 2016 and served as the Co-Founder and CTO until July 2021. Rapidoo, now part of One7, is an online platform that helps Brazilian SMEs manage their invoices and improve their working capital. As the CTO, Raphael was responsible for building the technology team and platform from scratch.

In 2016, Raphael worked as a Freelance Software Engineer, building and maintaining web applications for companies in Canada and the Dominican Republic. Some of the technologies they used during this time include Ruby, Rails, Grape, MySQL, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Bootstrap.

Prior to their freelance work, Raphael worked at Creditas as a Software Engineer. Raphael joined the company in January 2015 and stayed until February 2016. At Creditas, they built and maintained web apps and APIs for the loan platform. Raphael also led projects involving integrations using REST API with partners and the development of a new Customer Service System.

Raphael's journey in the software engineering field started with an internship at Creditas from August 2014 to December 2014. During this time, they focused on intensive learning of Ruby on Rails with Rspec and worked on the development and improvements of applications and API integrations.

Before their professional career began, Raphael participated in the Undergraduate International Exchange Scholarship Program at the University of Sao Paulo in 2014. Additionally, they were part of the Science without Borders Scholarship Program at CNPq - MCT from September 2012 to July 2013.

In their earlier years, Raphael served as the Academic Vice President at DASI USP from August 2011 to August 2012 and worked as a Notary's Office Assistant in the Technology Sector at 9º RTDPJ from January 2005 to August 2012.

Raphael Monteiro obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems and Computer Science from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, graduating in 2014. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in an exchange program at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2012-2013, focusing on Information Systems and Computer Engineering. In the same year of their graduation, Raphael Monteiro took part in another exchange program at Victoria University, where they studied Principles and Practice of Public Relations, Professional Development, Creativity and Innovation.
