Emily Root

Emily Root has an extensive background in behavioral health, currently serving as the Director of Behavioral Health Transformation at CareOregon since May 2019, where roles have included Senior Manager of Behavioral Health Quality & Innovation and Behavioral Health Integration Manager. Prior experience includes positions at Health Share of Oregon as a Quality Improvement Coordinator/Transformation Specialist and at Clackamas County as both a Policy Analyst and Quality Management Coordinator. Emily also worked as a Program Planner at Clackamas County and held various roles at Morrison Child and Family Services, including Program Manager and Child and Family Therapist. Emily holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Social Relations from Earlham College.
