David Choi

David Choi, MD, currently serves as the Medical Director at CareSource since May 2020, where responsibilities include medical necessity determinations, peer discussions with physicians, and reviewing appeal cases, alongside efforts to enhance efficiency and identify cost-saving initiatives. Prior to this role, David worked as a Physician Reviewer for Medicaid at the Office of the Inspector General/Health and Human Services in Texas from February 2016 to May 2020, focusing on evaluating retrospective Medicaid hospital admissions for medical necessity. David received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, completing a Family Medicine Residency Program, and previously earned another Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University, specializing as a University Scholar with an emphasis in Biochemistry.
