James Sasso

James Sasso is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in health law and corporate legal matters. Currently serving as General Counsel and Vice President Deputy General Counsel at CareSource since September 2020, James has provided leadership and legal oversight in various capacities, including Deputy General Counsel. In addition to corporate roles, James has contributed to public health governance as a Board Member of the Bernardsville Board of Health and has been an Adjunct Professor at several law schools, including Rutgers and Seton Hall, teaching in-house counsel skills. Prior to CareSource, James held multiple positions at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where significant legal support was provided to government programs and healthcare initiatives. James's legal career began at Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C., focusing on insurance law, and includes various internships and clerkships that shaped professional expertise. James holds a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Government from Franklin & Marshall College.
