Heather Higgins currently serves as the CEO of Tampa General Rehabilitation Hospital since September 2021 and has held the position of Medical Rehabilitation Surveyor at CARF International since June 2007. Previously, Heather Higgins was the Director of Rehabilitation at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation from December 2014 to September 2021, and served as Operations Manager at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital from April 2004 to December 2014. Earlier experience includes roles as PPS Coordinator and Occupational Therapist at Mount Sinai Medical Center and as an Occupational Therapist at VA Hudson Valley Health Care System. Heather Higgins holds an MBA in Health Care Administration from Baruch College (2001-2004) and a BS in Occupational Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University (1992-1996).
