Michael Connolly has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Michael is currently working as the Chief Medical Officer for CARF International, where they oversee the accreditation process for health and human services providers. Prior to this, Connolly served as the Physician Executive for the Primary Care Service Line at BANNER - UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER, where they built and managed Tucson's first primary care group for the integrated health systems. Michael Connolly attended St. Michaels College from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology. Michael then enrolled in the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1987 to 1991 and earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Following this, they completed an Osteopathic Rotating Internship at Saint Barnabas Hospital from 1991 to 1992.
In 1992, Michael Connolly obtained their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine certification from the NATIONAL BOARD OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICAL EXAMINERS, INC. Michael then pursued further education at Yale University, Norwalk Hospital from 1992 to 1995, completing an Internal Medicine Residency. From 1999 to 2000, Michael Connolly participated in a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at SUNY at Stonybrook. In 2017, they became an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine.
