Catherine B. Poor

Catherine B. Poor, PhD, is an innovative biotechnology leader and Senior Scientist at Cargill, where they develop and lead protein discovery and engineering capabilities. Currently, Catherine also holds the position of Protein Engineering Capability Lead, establishing research strategies to address customer needs. With over 15 years of experience in various prestigious roles, including a Postdoctoral Scholar in Enzyme Engineering at The University of Chicago, Catherine has contributed significantly to the field, publishing numerous research papers and mentoring students in advanced biochemical techniques. They earned a PhD in Chemistry from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College.
